Winner of Ecodek's inaugural 'Garden Transformation Challenge' revealed
Ecodek is delighted to announce the winner of its inaugural ‘Garden Transformation Challenge’. Melanie Jones’ entry caught the attention – and the hearts – of the judging panel and she is now the proud owner of an Ecodek wood composite decking kit, which has helped her to transform her new garden.
Melanie and her family moved into their new home in November 2021. Since then, Melanie and her husband have been working hard to create a beautiful family home for them and their 13-year-old son who has autism.
“Renovating our home has been a real labour of love,” explains Melanie. “We have refurbished every room to create a warm, lovely family home, which includes safe spaces in which our son can sleep, study, and relax. However, it has taken a lot to complete the project, both physically, mentally, and financially. Because of this, we had yet to tackle the garden.
“The garden is an extremely important space to us, and we wanted to make it an area we could all enjoy. However, funds were limited and due to the size of the garden, so was our energy! This was when I saw Ecodek’s ‘Garden Transformation Challenge’ on social media and decided to go for it!”
For its first annual ‘Garden Transformation Challenge’, Ecodek asked people to write in and explain why they deserved to win one of its Composite Decking Kits.

Melanie has now installed her new Ecodek composite decking kit, and it is already starting to make a difference.
“Not only has our new decking transformed the look of our garden, but it has also provided us with a place to relax, eat, and entertain. It has taken a huge amount of pressure off us and made a difference to both our home and our lives.
