About Project

Many of the projects we’ve featured recently have been high end developments in London where the low maintenance, low potential for slip and bespoke lengths are perfectly suited for balconies on multi-storied buildings.

However, those qualities (plus the excellent ‘eco credentials’) also mean that Ecodek is equally desirable for residential projects where a home-owner may be landscaping, redeveloping a site or embarking on a new build project. We were very excited to work with a dedicated home-owner on the redevelopment of their home after it was destroyed by floods.

The demolition of the existing dwelling was required following the property being rendered uninhabitable by the extensive damage inflicted by severe flooding in the local area in 2013/2014.

The aim for the family of the rebuild was to achieve a sustainable and high quality scheme throughout using technologies and products where possible and as financially viable. The property features a water source heat system and solar panel technologies.

The site is a riverside plot of 0.755 ha in Green Belt/Floodable Area adjacent to the River Thames. It has a river frontage of circa 75m with an overall GIA of 221.7m2, surrounded by 220m2 of ecodek.
