Ecodek have the pleasure of working with experienced installers and have caught up with one of our regular clients A1 Decking who have worked on this stunning garden renovation.
The project brief was to replace an old intricate wooden deck, balustrade and open pergola to provide:
- Multiple sections and levels
- Space for entertaining, increasing the usability during differing British weather conditions
- Kitchen & Bar area
- Sitting area with unrestricted views across open country side
- A matching log and bin store as part of the solution
- Low maintenance solution
A1 Decking worked with their customer to create an innovative transformation that took advantage of the outdoor space and maximized the use of the proposed decking area all year round. With multiple levels and sections, A1 decking created different areas, each with their own purpose and features.
The large gazebo on a raised platform, overlooking the countryside with clear glass balustrades optimises the views and provides shelter from rain. The sunken hexagonal firepit with smoked glass adds a unique shape with protection from the wind on colder evenings and the covered bar and BBQ area allows food to be prepared and served surrounded by friends and family in all kinds of weather.
A1 Decking and their customer opted for our woodgrain Heritage range, in both the light grey and black to create a stunning contrasting effect. Bruce Costello, Director of A1 Decking commented: “The intricate design of this project meant that the components used needed to be solid rather than hollow – hence the reason we chose Ecodek’s composite decking boards. The longer warranty period and the fact that the products are made in the UK was an added bonus. It therefore made sense that we also used Ecodek’s sister company, Dekboard, for the balustrade, which myself and the customer were really pleased with the quality.”
