Composite decking ideas for small gardens

We’re sure many of you believe that to have beautiful garden decking you need a significantly sized outside area. Here at Ecodek, we want to show you that this is not the case and just because you have limited space, does not mean you have to limit your creativity.

Small but perfectly formed

Wood Polymer Composite decking is extremely versatile and perfectly suited to a small garden or courtyard. Our standard garden decking boards are 3.6m in length. However, these boards can be made to order and can start from as small as 1.5m in length, making them the ideal choice for a modest, but stylish, outside area.

In addition to the made-to-measure composite decking boards, we have recently unveiled our innovative Composite Decking Kit, which includes everything you need to create your very own 2.4m by 2.4m square decked area. Ecodek developed this kit specifically with small gardens in mind, providing you with just the right amount of space for relaxing, dining, and entertaining. These kits contain our stunning Signature AT range in Slate Grey, which offers a rich charcoal effect that contrasts beautifully with outdoor flora and fauna.

Complementary colours

If Slate Grey is not to your taste, our other ranges are available in a wide range of tones, from traditional Light or Dark Brown to contemporary Pebble Grey or Black, so we’re confident you will find a colour that complements both your garden and your style.

Different shades can also be useful when creating a sense of space. For example, by harmonising your decking with the colour of your surrounding wall or fence, you will help to create a light and airy space. However, you may wish to create an intimate, quiet area, where a darker shade of decking could help to create a sense of tranquillity and calm.

Solidity and strength

Choosing a solid composite garden decking board is also a good idea for smaller outdoor areas. Not only are they a superior quality product, but the boards do not have to be fixed in a specific place when being installed, unlike their hollow counterparts. This allows you, or your installer, to ‘hide’ fixtures and fittings rather than having them on show and ‘breaking’ up your composite board. In turn this can help to create the illusion of length and space.

We do not believe you should be restrained by size, and with a little bit of imagination, you can create a beautiful decked area in your garden.
